As the title suggests, I’m looking for recommendations/your opinions on the best charting package to use. I’ve been demo trading on Oanda’s Tradingview ‘Advanced’ charts for the past 6 months, but I find it restrictive when it comes to actual trading. I have been trying out Ninjatrader with a separate demo account and I like it; but I’m not sure if it’s worth the $800 price tag for a lifetime license (and also that only a few brokers support them). Would it be worth me learning MT4? I know it’s the industry standard for retail traders. I don’t care about future proofing necessarily – I just want to starting learning and getting used to a good charting package that I will use when I go live within the next couple of months that won’t have the same limitations as Tradingview. Thanks in advance for any advice!

These strategies are designed for their own specific currency, and time frame. An example – Long Term strategy works only on EURUSD M1. And the short term scalping strategy works on four pairs: EURGBP, GBPCHF & USDCADm on M1 time frame (If you don’t understand this – don’t worry – FAP Turbo comes with a 64 page illustrated PDF manual – and you do not need to be a Forex Expert to get into Forex Trading).

If you chose to develop the software yourself then you are free to create it almost any way you want. Your freedom will, however, be restricted by the API (Application Programming Interface) provided by your trading platform. The API is what allows your trading software to communicate with the trading platform to place orders. Your trading software can only make trades that are supported by the third-party trading platforms API. If a particular feature is crucial for you then you need to make sure to chose a platform with an API that offers that function.
Experts say that forex is a zero-sum game. That means that someone always loses commensurate to someone else’s win — that’s how the game is played. When you add in costs and fees associated with running a forex account and making trades, you enter negative-sum territory. That said, shrewd trading moves can pay out. Substantially. If you have the time and interest required to learn to identify patterns in price fluctuations and execute far-sighted trades, you will make wins on the forex market. That said, the most thoughtful strategy is also liable to bring about loss. Don’t trade more than you can afford to lose.

Many vendors of forex robots offer a money back guarantee, enabling you to get a refund inside a certain trial period. This can be anything from one to three months, as a rule. This should be seen as a bonus when considering selection of an EA, not a dealbreaker. It may be that one robot is excellent, but gives no money back guarantee, while another robot that is absolute rubbish cheerfully refunds your money if you’re not satisfied. The reasoning is obvious: the vendor of the rubbish robot knows that a certain percentage of customers will for one reason or another (laziness, didn’t know about the guarantee etc) fail to redeem their money.

Although not all programs on the Internet operate well, there's a good chance you'll find something useful, perhaps even the best Forex auto trading software. However, some firms advertise to have a very high percentage of winning trades. You should be cautious. Such advertising claims must be verified. In fact, the best software publishers will undoubtedly provide authenticated trading history results in order to show the effectiveness of the programs they are offering. The golden rule is to understand that the past performance is not a warranty of positive future results.
