I have already tried other EA’s out there but this one is unusable. Ever since I started using it six months ago, all it did is lose my investment, no matter what settings I use or broker I choose. I even paid an additional amount for the “Forex Guru”. This feature is very use as it’s apparently designed to set the “Stop Loss” to 50% higher than the “Take Profit”. I can’t believe I even paid for that! I spent months trying to figure out what settings would be best to profit from this turbo. I even tried different brokers to no avail. Like a lot of turbos out there, this one is waste of money, time and space in the hard drive. I’m sure that the only ones who make money from this are their affiliate marketers that sell it.
Most forex trading software packages come with an explanatory Users’ Manual often in the form of a separate PDF document or incorporated into a help function within the software itself. This manual should provide you with all the information you need to get started using the software, as well as how to use all of its more advanced features. The manual should also provide troubleshooting information, as well as who to contact in case additional support is required
Although we do not recommend any automated Forex software, it is still important to outline the upsides of it. A key advantage is the removal of emotional and psychological influences when identifying what to trade. Automated software makes your trading decisions consistent and completely unemotional, exploiting parameters you have pre-defined, or the default setting you have previously installed.

Candlestick charts present the same information with more visual variety. This type of chart uses two different colors to indicate the direction of change over time, one color for up and another for down. A thin line represents the range of prices offered throughout the day with a thicker bar filling the space between the open and close prices. Traders can determine whether the open price is higher than the close price based upon the color of the bar. Typically, lighter colors indicate a pair closed higher than it opened, while darker colors indicate a fall in price between the open and the close.
Back-testing – Always look for a Forex trading robot that has been back-tested on various currency pairs, and in a variety of market conditions. Failure to do so will potentially mean you’re flushing all your hard earned cash down the pan. Back-testing will show you how the program would have functioned in different market conditions such as high and low volatility, announcements, and important news. It will also indicate possible losses, wins, maximum drawdown, and the risk and reward that are possible. A genuine robot merchant shouldn’t mind if you choose to do the back-testing yourself. But if they do then this is a sure fire sign that the robot is really pretty worthless.
Over-optimisation – A focus on curve-fitting leads to automated day trading algorithms that should be fantastic in theory, but often fall short of the mark when it comes to live trading. For example; a lot of people fine tune a plan with almost 100% profitable trades that shouldn’t ever experience a drawdown. Apply it to a live market however and it can completely fail. This is why you should stick with low value trades until you’ve ironed out all the creases.
The downside is that successful automated forex trading systems can be difficult to develop. While backtesting may show positive results, past performance is never a guarantee of future results and many trading systems are over optimized – or curve fit – for past results. Traders should exercise caution when buying “off the shelf” automated forex trading systems since they may be curve fit to the past and offer no or limited benefits for the future.
While the all-in cost to trade can be critical for many traders, it is essential to look at the whole picture in terms of how a broker’s overall offering could best suit your needs. Questions to ask include: What are average spreads for the account types offered? How will differences in margin requirements or execution affect my forex trading volumes and related trading costs? These are just some of the questions that can help traders consider key differences between offerings.
Another reason why traders will find Forex chart software useful is when their platform is not available on a certain device that they use. For example, you might find it difficult to observe the FX prices and charts if you are on a Chromebook and your trading platform is MetaTrader 4. This way you can use an alternative software that displays the charts as a web application.
*Trading financial instruments, including Stocks, Futures, Forex, or Options on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that your losses can exceed deposits and therefore you should not invest money you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts. Past performance, whether actual or hypothetical, is not necessarily indicative of future results. All depictions of trades whether by video or image are for illustrative purposes only and not a recommendation to buy or sell any particular financial instrument. See full risk disclosure
3. Buy automated day trading systems right off the shelf – There are plenty to choose from and a whole host of reviews that will reveal their past performance. The problem with this option is that whilst backtesting may reveal promising results, those results don’t always translate when you apply them to live markets. In addition, your work isn’t finished after the initial purchase, your system will need updating as the market changes.

Trading forex is a high risk and may not be suitable for everyone. It is possible to lose more than your deposit when trading foreign exchange. Forex brokers provide clients with margin trading services, hence you are provided with a high degree of financial leverage. Be aware that this financial leverage might result in significant losses for you. Please advice a specialist before getting involved in foreign exchange, CFD and binary options trading. Last but most definitely not least, anyone thinking of using auto trading software must understand the risks involved. There is a good reason why most robots return a very high win to loss rate (often above 80%, sometimes even 90%). That reason is that simply having such a high win rate means that when you do suffer a loss, that loss is substantial. You must be able to psychologically absorb the occasional such loss in the face of a streak of much smaller wins. It is simple mathematical probability that an automated system that wins 90% of the time has wins that are much smaller than its losses.
There are of course other countless platforms in the foreign exchange industry that are not included in our Best FX Platforms Guide. XTB OpenHub, Tradeable, Trading212 platform, Oanda fxTrade, Sirix WebTrader, eToro Openbook and many many more. These platforms are not reviewed in this article because they neither make an important on the fx trading industry now, nor they are expected to make any in 2018.
As the title suggests, I’m looking for recommendations/your opinions on the best charting package to use. I’ve been demo trading on Oanda’s Tradingview ‘Advanced’ charts for the past 6 months, but I find it restrictive when it comes to actual trading. I have been trying out Ninjatrader with a separate demo account and I like it; but I’m not sure if it’s worth the $800 price tag for a lifetime license (and also that only a few brokers support them). Would it be worth me learning MT4? I know it’s the industry standard for retail traders. I don’t care about future proofing necessarily – I just want to starting learning and getting used to a good charting package that I will use when I go live within the next couple of months that won’t have the same limitations as Tradingview. Thanks in advance for any advice!
I decided to do a little more research and so I went to the internet wayback machine to see if the results have changed since 2010. I’m sure it’s no surprise to you, but they haven’t. The exact same backtest and story was being used when this software was first being promoted in 2010. That doesn’t mean that it’s a bad EA necessarily but it’s not positive that the only piece of proof provided is from 6 years ago.

Speed – Your automated software will give you enhanced order speed entry. Capable of automatically changing to market conditions and generating orders the moment the trade criteria are met. In the day trading game just a few seconds can make a significant difference to the potential win or loss. It will prevent you reaching the profit target or plummeting past a stop level before you’ve even managed to enter an order.
A major advantage of automated forex trading software is the elimination of emotional and psychological influences determining your trading decisions in favor of a cold, logical approach to the market. Beginner and even experienced traders may sometimes make a trade based on some psychological trigger that defies the logic of market conditions. With automated trading, such all-too-human lapses of judgment just don't occur.
The best way to gain an understanding of the benefits of using Forex trading robots is to spend some time reading genuine customer reviews. There are plenty to be found online, but remember to take them with a pinch of salt, as not everything you read online is genuine. Forex robots can analyse millions of charts far quicker than a human, but the information that many of them churn out is inaccurate and incorrect. Any robot is only able to perform as well as its program, and they aren’t able to think creatively or out of the box like a human can. The level of functionality of a trading robot is very much limited to past performance, and the way they have been programmed.
